What a disgrace - since Dr Fairfield left and the surgery took on a practice manager the whole outfit is nothing short of a joke. How can a facility be running an hour late only an hour after opening? - how can you get an emergency appointment in an hours time only to find, on arrival, that there is a 50 minute wait? Frustrating beyond belief - most patients must be suffering with high blood pressure.
Can't understand some of these reviews, we've only experienced professional and caring treatment from the doctors, nurses and receptionists. The doctors have always done their very best to investigate various problems and have been keen to follow up procedures despite their heavy workload. We have repeat prescriptions but have experienced none of the problems mentioned in other reviews. We, and a good many other of our friends, are extremely happy with Norden House Surgery.
This is the best GP surgery out of 4 I've been registered with in the past 12 years, across four counties. I don't go to the doctor's often and I have no long term illnesses, but since signing up a few months ago, unfortunately I needed urgent assistance on several occasions. Every single member of staff I've come across, from the receptionists to nurses, to doctors have been extremely approachable, made me feel important and like they really wanted to help. Getting help was also much quicker than in my previous surgeries. That may be down to the size of the town and number of patients they look after but nonetheless, it meant I got spoken to/seen, treated and referred to a specialist even when I thought it wouldn't be possible. They're doing a great job!
Not once have I had an easy time picking up my REPEAT prescription. There has always been some sort of issue such as misplacing my prescription, not processing it in time (5 days) or even giving me the wrong drug one time! The staff at the dispensary have been unhelpful on all but one occasion. I know many people have complained of this. How hasn't it been sorted yet?! That being said, the reception staff have been very helpful and understanding
I am not a patient at this surgery but had cause to access their help for a third party who was registered with them. Their help, compassion, support and professionalism was exemplary. From the point of contact with the receptionist, through triage with the nursing staff and the consultation with the doctor they could not have been faulted. I had no personal prior experience but I can say that when 'the chips were down' they were all amazing. It might have been just another day for them, but for us it wasn't. And the follow up three days later was no different. Thank you, all of you.
